I honestly knew this day was coming, although I didn't think it would be this soon. WoW's numbers are as low as it was in 2007. I think people are seeing all they freedom of Non-subscription games like Guild Wars, Defiance, and several others. I say let it die, prepare the way for TESO!
Ya I had a guy tell me that Blizz said that panda was the last expansion for wow so ya. Their isn't much to look forward to if your a wower. They better get after their next mmo soon.

So what killed WoW?
League of Legends, Minecraft, or both?

My 2 cents worth is that making WoW idiot proof killed it. Back in Vanilla days you had to work your ass off in 40 man raids for decent gear to make yourself overpowered, then they allowed you to run your choice of 5 man dungeons, grind dailies or PvP for overpowered gear so that everyone could be overpowered. Add to that making the game easier to understand (read "child friendly") and you make it attractive for a much younger player base ... which eventually drove away the adults. No prizes for guessing who can afford to pay for a subscription....

Nothing lasts forever. I do have some pretty good memories of all different stages in wow's history save for this last bit.
