Beyond All Reason

Beyond All Reason is a gem—seriously cool stuff. It's a free-to-play RTS that's still under the radar, but you can download it from their website. No Steam release yet—they want to make sure it's polished before hitting the big stage. The resource gathering is simple, so you can focus on the real fun: sending out units and diving into combat. I’ve only scratched the surface with a couple of games, but I’m already hooked. There are two factions to choose from, and the game is packed with options and buttons I still need to explore. But for now, count me in. I’ll keep you updated as I get deeper into it.

Wildcard & Aberration

Our old pals at Wildcard are gearing up to deliver the long-awaited Aberration map. So far, everything's on schedule, and I'm crossing my fingers for a smooth launch—they really need a win here. To borrow a line from Bane in The Dark Knight Rises: "Peace has cost you your strength! Victory has defeated you!" Wildcard had some early success, but now they're in a tough spot, trying to climb out of a pit of their own making. My advice? Stop throwing money at flashy gimmicks and actors with little return. Get back to the basics: make a bug-free, fun game, and the players will come back. Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, and that terrible cartoon didn’t make you successful—your games did.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to dying repeatedly in Aberration with all of you, one of my favorite maps.

Deadlock

So, Valve doesn’t want anyone talking about Deadlock… Is this some reverse psychology marketing, like Cartman saying people can’t come to his theme park? I’m not sure, but some leaks are out there, and I’m trying to get the inside scoop. I’ve heard it’s some kind of FPS/MOBA hybrid, but I have no clue what to expect.

Kirk out.
